Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026
Opportunity Tree serves families, and families share sensitive things with us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and who sees it. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Who We Are

Opportunity Tree ("we," "us") connects families and small business owners to childcare, tax preparation, vehicle rentals, marketing, and technology services in the Atlanta metro area and the San Francisco Bay Area.

2. What This Policy Covers

This policy covers information you give us through this website — the contact form and the chat assistant. Once you enroll in a specific service, that service has its own intake paperwork and its own privacy obligations, which we will give you at that time. Childcare enrollment and tax preparation in particular are subject to additional legal requirements that go beyond this policy.

3. Information We Collect Here

Please don't send sensitive details through this website. Do not include Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank details, immigration status, medical information, or details about a child through the website form or chat. If we need that information for a service, we will collect it through a secure intake process with proper safeguards.

4. How We Use It

We use your information to help you get the service you asked about. We don't use it to profile you, and we don't hand it to advertisers.

5. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

6. Children's Information

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site, and children should not use the contact form or chat. Information about enrolled children is collected through our childcare intake process, not through this website, and is handled under the confidentiality rules that apply to licensed childcare providers in the state where the program operates. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time about information we hold regarding their child.

7. Third-Party Content

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and photographs from Unsplash; those providers receive your IP address when your browser requests those files. Our chat assistant sends what you type to our automation service to generate a reply. We link to Opportunity Tree Auto Group and other sites that have their own privacy policies.

8. Cookies

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser session storage for one thing: remembering that the chat window already opened once, so it doesn't reopen repeatedly.

9. How Long We Keep It

Website inquiries are generally kept for up to three years from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required by law or by an ongoing service relationship. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by law.

11. Your Rights

Email us to ask what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop marketing messages.

California residents: Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. Email rhayes@theopportunitytree.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." We verify identity before responding and respond within 45 days.

12. Changes

Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.
